Greetings from Finca con Dos Gatos! Here’s the wrap up on our first of hopefully many visits to Muldoon’s in the mighty metropolis of Poe Indiana.

The first matter of business is to clear up a mistake concerning tonite’s theme. Sonny and I were relatively sure that this was the first time we’d raced the Space Board in the Poe/Hoagland area, but it appears that we did bring this board to the Three Kings on June 6th 2008 (Sally got 3rd that night). Our apologies for the oversight.

A chilly night on the east end of Yoder Road tonite. Muldoon’s greets you from the right hand side of the road as you enter Poe and sits directly across the street from the Poe Volunteer Fire Department, home of the legendary Poe Volunteer Fire Department Peanut Brittle (it only comes around once a year, so pay attention!).

A nice crowd this evening, building to a fairly full house by the end of the night. Mainly Crab Racing Virgins when we arrived, we were soon joined by Sally, Rosetta, Dawn, Mallory, and several Three Kings regulars. Not only was it nice to have some Racers in this new venue who knew the shtick. As you’ll see by the results, they showed how important it is to check The CrabLine for up-to-date results and rankings. We were also joined by an old Jaycee friend, Gary Selking. It’s been almost twenty years since I’d seen Gary and I was quite surprised when he strolled in. Our lovely host tonite is Cheryl, Lisa is behind the bar, and Mel is on the floor serving us all! Now that we’re all caught up, let’s get on to reason we’re all here tonite, Space Crab Racing!!!

So there it is. Our inaugural run at the very friendly Muldoon’s. Crab Racing vets take 3 of the top four places, with the #1 Crab in the world leading the pack.

Sonny and his Sensational Crustaceans return to Poe with Train Crab racing on Friday December 10th. Make sure you tell your friend and unitil then, he’s Sonny Starr!
