Chimichanga Cheesy Burrito!
Greetings from Casa dos Gatos. My apologies for the tardiness of this post. It seems like I’d have more time to do this in the winter, but the evenings fly past. It gets dark so early. And any hope of getting the eight remaining brain cells to fire in a meaningful sequence goes down with the sun. I can remember coming back from the Oil City Tavern last summer after the races, and driving into a sunset at a quarter to ten. That’s what I need. It’ll soon come. I’ll do my best to be more punctual in the future.
An incredible crowd in both quantity and quality for the Races this week. The last Race in The Friendly Confines in 2007. Football’s the theme, but the Second Half is a kind of greatest hits thing with props and The Shark. As I said, big crowd. Natural Sellout with forty three Crabs starting tonite, just like The Cup. Welcome back to Race Row Mike and Sheila. The Goondockers had a Mini-mob up front as well. EO and his family were at the Jukebox table. And a new group calling themselves Team A&A were in the Skyboxes. Team Bacon & Robots were on the Row with WHITASITA in his usual seat. Behind them were Our Hosts, Steve and Darnell, with their lovely daughter, The Original Sarah, and Craig P. Facial Shot had a nice size Krewe in the Near Window and Joolio and Bizzee had a group at the far window. Kylie and her pal Shelby were at the Far End of the bar, racing for the Chainsaw Sisters Racing Team, West LA Division. Ricky The Amazing Four Inch Man tending the Bar. Nelia in the kitchen. And Amy, On The Floor, SERVING US ALL!!!. I guess there’s only on thing left to ask, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME-

12G is the same Crab that won like 8 races in a row recently. So 12G wins the first race and the first semifinal and finishes Second overall. Unfortunately, the Crab that was running 12G passed away and this is a different Crab. That is one fast shell. Team Racers claim seven races in the First Half and Independents take six of eight in the Second Half. In the end it winds up FSR and GSR splitting the Finals.
Crab #17 was named We Tee Peed Your House (Me and Julie). I’ve been asked to pass that along to the O’Briens, if they’re listening in.
Space Crab Racing on the 9th in Marion and a repeat performance two days later on the 11th at the Three Kings in Hoagland. Anyone that would like to ride along to the Hoagland show, let me know.
Ciao for nao
