Hoy Hoy!! Greetings from Casa Dos Gatos!
“’Tis weather fit for neither man nor beast!”
-Tony S.
Greetings from the great Northwest. No wonder Cobain and company were so angsty, this is miserable. Had the week off, no goals as such, but I really thought I’d get maybe one day of work done outside. Maybe Friday’s it.
Listening to Miles Davis’ Kind Of Blue this evening. It starts out with the incredible “So What” and just gets better from there. I got in the mood for Miles a couple of weeks ago, not sure why. Just in the mood I guess.
Very nice crowd tonite. Carl and Holly were back. They haven’t been able to come lately because Dr. Carl was on call. Imagine that, all those years of Medical School and people can still call you anytime of the day or night. And they expect you to show up sober to boot! Good thing it pays extra. Race Row had Carl and Holly to my front left. Kelly (The Flagholder), Jerry Jeff Jordan, and then Dana (Crab Racing Virgin) and Shannon. A couple of nererers and then Jim and Brenda. Facial Shot had a good group at their standard table. They ran a Chainsaw Sisters tribute Crab, “What Happens etc…”. Steve had a group at the table behind them and The Original Sarah and The New Sarah joined him once we got started. Rob and Matt were in the Skyboxes, but later moved to Field Level near the juke box. There were a couple of new people in the corner and a couple more racers scattered about. Perfect size Racing Crowd. Rick behind the bar, Nelia in the kitchen, Rhonda on the floor, and me? Sometimes I’m not really sure, but I think this is what happened-

Worth noting- all four finalists came from the second half, Brenda gets back in the money, and a Rookie wins the whole thing. Good looking crowd tonite. Always nice to have Dr C and Nurse Holly around. No racing on the 22nd, as it’s Thanksgiving eve. But I’ll bet Folkies will be hopping anyway, so if you’re around we ought to try to get down there.
Gonna try to head out to see you guys at the Legion Saturday night. Not much else planned. Like I said, no specific goals this week and so far I’m nailin’ every one of them!
In the words of Madeline Kahn– “If it’s Wednesday, it’s wacing (unless it’s Thanksgiving Eve).
